Stuck electric cord plug in socket?
I seem to cannot get my heavy duty cord plug out of the socket that is above my kitchen sink. It has been plugged up there for a while and I used my microwave, coffee pot, and toaster on it. Now nothing works and I want to know if it is the cord, the outlet strip or what. It is stuck into the socket like it melded or froze or something. What in the world can I do to remove it? I won’t dare have my husband try anything without the power off in the house! We just want to unplug it and see what’s up? Any ideas out there?
A circuit tester will tell if there’s any power in the cord or in the other receptacle. The cord may have been overused if you’ve had all of those appliances plugged into it. Your husband is right. NOTHING should be done with the household power on.
